About the Company
Personal Finance Club (PFC) is a small, but profitable online startup seeking the next crucial member of our team! Founded in 2019 as a free personal financial literacy resource, Personal Finance Club launched its first product in late 2020: a $79 index fund investing course. In the first 12 months we sold over $600,000 and would like to continue growing. We’re currently a team of three (Jeremy, Vivi, and Shane). Vivi and Shane are increasingly focused on our new business, Nectarine, so we’re looking to hire a superstar to take over most of Vivi’s operational work on PFC to help us grow!
About the Role
Some potential tasks will include (but not be limited to):
- Organizing webinars (email lists, website landing pages, scheduling, etc)
- Updating courses (Videos, quizzes, projects etc. currently on Thinkific)
- Managing incoming email
- Supporting sales, refunds, coupons, etc of courses
- Organizing office hours Zoom calls, preparing presentations
- Paying affiliate partners
- Sending weekly newsletters with new IG content
- Payroll / 401k processing
- Supporting PFC moderator volunteers with gifts, support, etc
- Sending out PFC charitable donations
- Managing VA who posts content to various social media platforms
- Organizing/facilitating webinars for corporate partners
- Editing or possibly creating original content for PFC’s social channels
About the Perfect Applicant
Primarily we are looking for someone smart and independently driven. Someone who learns quickly and gets things done. This position is remote (unless you’re in San Diego and want to join Jeremy in our office). It will often have limited structure but unlimited opportunity to help grow the business.
Must haves:
- Very technologically savvy
- Strong writing skills
- Quick learner
- Effective problem solver
- Self-sufficient and motivated
- Hungry and ambitious to help grow something cool
Nice to haves:
- Strong knowledge of personal finance and investing
- Strong excel/google sheets and math skills
- Graphic design experience (photoshop, illustrator, powerpoint)
- Flare for story telling
- Social media expertise
- WordPress/Web technology experience
- Google drive and G Suites experience
About the Position
- This is a full-time, remote role.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States.
- The base pay is $60,000/year.
- Profit sharing bonus (employees split 25% of the profit each year.) Profit sharing bonuses have averaged about $5,000/year the last couple of years (but can vary dramatically based on how we do!)
- $1,000 home-office budget to get your desk and computer ready to work.
