Healthcare should be a right, not a privilege. But here in America we are far from living by those words. So protect yourself from financial ruin by having health insurance.
Even if you are lucky enough to have good health insurance, many people still don’t seek medical help because copays can be very high. Roughly 25% of Americans admit to postponing essential medical procedures due to financial constraints, with half of this group saying the delay likely exacerbated their health issues.
So, what do you do?? Concentrate on managing stuff that’s within your control. Ensure you maintain an emergency fund for unexpected situations. If you have an HSA eligible health plan, fund your HSA to help prepare for health expenses. Always prioritize both your mental and physical well-being to the best of your ability. Health is one of the things that should come before building wealth.
p.s. We are hosting a free webinar this coming Tuesday (9/12) that will cover insurance! It will will go over how insurance works and how much of it you need. We hope to see you there! Check our bio for more info!
As always, reminding you to build wealth by following the two PFC rules: 1.) Live below your means and 2.) Invest early and often.
