We’re starting a new company!

This will be the biggest announcement in the history of Personal Finance Club. And I can’t wait to share with you the journey of starting and growing the company.

I’m such a fan of transparency I think the process of explaining exactly what we’re doing (sometimes while we’re doing it) is so fun. THIS POST is kind of meta. It’s one of the first steps in our “launch process” but where we build anticipation and include the audience. And we’re doing both of those things… by telling you that we’re doing them?!

I’m not naturally a “marketer”. My natural instinct would be to just tell you the name of the company immediately! BUT, if I did that, wouldn’t it feel out of the blue? Like “Hey, by the way Vivi, Shane, and I started a company and here it is.” I know if I heard that I would think “huh, it must not be a big deal if they just randomly mentioned it like this”.

That’s why even Apple (one of the world’s biggest companies) makes a big deal about building anticipation and fanfare preceeding their launches. They don’t just ship a new product and tell you it’s out. They tell you what they’re GOING to do and WHEN it’s going to happen and progressively leak details to keep the buzz and anticipation building. That way you have weeks to think about it and are much more likely to think it’s a BIG DEAL when it happens, rather than just happening to mention it.

So what CAN I tell you about our new company? We’re looking to DISRUPT an industry that has really sucked for consumers and make it WAY BETTER and hopefully save and make you a ton more money! We’ve actually been working on it for over a year and we can’t wait to share it here! (Some of you may have already seen the leaks from other sources).

Stay tuned, we’ll be sharing a ton more next week before the big launch day!

As always, reminding you to build wealth by following the two PFC rules: 1.) Live below your means and 2.) Invest early and often.

Trump vs Biden post-election stock market returns

Our current president tweets a lot about how the stock market is doing exceptionally well, implying that it is his doing. I posted in past comparing the stock market return over recent presidential terms and it turns out President Trump’s term ranks 7th out of the last 10.
