What to Do With Cash Gifts for Your Kids

When our kids are a bit older, we’ll involve them more in these decisions. Once they understand the concept of money and spending, we’ll have them split the money (spend some, give some, invest some) to teach them good saving, budgeting, and spending habits. But for now, I’m trying to be a good steward of their money and put it to work in the best way I know how!

Fun fact: My son is 25% Chinese and his grandpa is continuing the tradition of giving a cash gift in a red envelope. It is supposed to be good luck and ward off bad spirits!

Merry Christmas!

As always, reminding you to build wealth by following the two PFC rules: 1.) Live below your means and 2.) Invest early and often.
